Educational Qualification: Candidate should have full time B.E/ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg.) from recognized University / Institute in relevant discipline as indicated below with Minimum 65% marks or equivalent CPGA*. OR Other recognized B.E/B.Tech equivalent qualifications of professional societies (e.g.AMIE) in the relevant discipline with minimum 65% with both Sections A&B cleared by 31.03.2016. *CTC mentioned above is only indicative. Actual CTC shall depend on place of posting and other terms and conditions of appointment.
Note: Final year / semester students, who expect their result by 14.08.2016 may also be considered eligible, provided they obtain minimum 65% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate of all semesters/years up to pre-final examination.
AGE LIMIT: Candidates upper age limit should be 28 years as on 31.12.2015. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.
Selection Process: Interested candidates will have to appear for the relevant Paper (EE, EC, CE or CS as mentioned above) of GATE 2016. The selection process consist of GATE 2016 Score / Rank Card Marks, Group Discussion & Personal Interview.
Compensation Package: Selected candidates will undergo training for a period of one year at POWERGRID sites and training institutes. On successful completion of training, the candidates will be absorbed as Engineer.
During Training: INR 8.15 lakhs per annum
After Training: INR 14.44 lakhs per annum

2. Candidates have to register themselves and appear for GATE - 2016 for the relevant paper as per their disciplines.
