Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an entrance test conducted to select candidates for the admission in to the IIT’s , IISc and top universities in India. Every Student in India Dream to study in IIT’s. So this GATE exam is a golden opportunity for the candidates who wish to get admission in IIT’s & NIT’s. The GATE score of a candidate reflects a relative performance level in a particular subject. The score is used for admissions to postgraduate programs (e.g., M. E., M. Tech, direct Ph.D.) in centrally funded Indian institutes of higher education (i.e., institutes which are provided with financial assistance by MHRD and other Government agencies).

2. Eligibility Criteria for GATE 2016 Exam
The Candidates applying for GATE 2016 Exam should meet the below eligibility criteria such as educational qualification and Age limit. The eligibility criteria given in our website is based on the Eligibility criteria as given in GATE Exam 2016 Notification.
Educational Qualification: Candidates who are currently in the final year and the candidates who have already completed B.E/ B,Tech/ B.Pharmacy/B.Arch/ M.Sc/ M.A/MCA from any recognized university are eligible to apply for GATE 2016 Exam.
Age Limit: No Upper Age Limit.
3. Details of GATE Examination 2016

3.1 GATE 2016 New features
GATE 2016 exam is an Online test (Computer Based Test). The GATE 2016 examination contains 23 Papers (Petroleum Engineering added now in 2016) Biometric information (Photograph and Fingerprints) for randomly selected candidates may be captured before the start of the examination. An online virtual calculator will be available at the time of examination. No physical calculator will be allowed. After completion of GATE 2016 exam, all answer keys will be made available for dispute within a short time. The entire GATE 2016 process will be in Online at www.gate.iisc.ernet.in

3.3 GATE 2016 Online Application
Eligible candidates can apply through online for the GATE 2016 exam at official website appsgate.iisc.ernet.in from 01.09.2015 to 01.10.2015. GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) on www.gate.iisc.ernet.in will direct you to the website of your bank choice. Once fee can be paid through Net Banking, Debit Card or e-challan you can proceed with the online application.
3.4 Steps to Follow in GATE 2016 Registration
- Log on to appsgate.iisc.ernet.in
- Register yourself by providing valid email address, mobile number and a GOAPS password.
- After completion of Registration GOAPS Enrollment ID will be sent to the candidate make note of it.
- Log in with your Enrollment ID & Password and fill the application form carefully.
- Once the application is submitted no modifications will be allowed.
- Check the application & Submit it.
- Take print out of the application for future use.

4. GATE 2016 Syllabus

5. Download GATE 2016 Admit Cards
Candidates can download the GATE 2016 Admit cards from official website to check their GATE 2016 Exam Date. Admit cards for the GATE 2016 exam will be available at the official website www.gate.iisc.ernet.in. Once the admit cards will be released candidates will be intimated about that through e.mail or SMS. Then candidates can download their admit cards from official site by entering their enrollment ID & Password. GATE 2016 Admit cards will be released on 17.12.2015.
6. GATE 2016 Results
Once the results have been released candidates can check their GATE Exam 2016 results at official website www.gate.iisc.ernet.in.
